  • First off, we are the only University Campus in Canada where you can begin a Bachelor in Bio-Resource Management majoring in Equine Management.

  • We are twenty minutes south of Ottawa and are located in the town of Kemptville.

  • We have on-campus residence space for 250 students as well as space for 70 horses in our stables!

  • Many of the amenities of larger schools are also available, such as a tutoring service, one computer for every 6 students, counseling services, library service in conjunction with 3 other universities, fitness facilities and sports programs.  The best thing is that all these services come at no extra cost!

About Our Campus:

Becoming a student of the University of Guelph at Kemptville Campus is a defining moment for you as you pursue your career choice.  With over 90 years experience at the Campus, we have alumni in every facet of society.  Here at Kemptville Campus we prepare students for the science and business of the Agriculture, Food and related Trades industries through relevant curriculum, lots of hands on experience and expert professors. Our skilled trades training programs are some of the best in Eastern Ontario and are well regarded in the industry.

In addition to the academia, students experience the adventures of campus life with other young adults in an exciting world of sports, study, tours, trips, socials, on-campus events and much more.  Every year we hear students at graduation declare their stay with us ‘has been the best two years of their lives’

Kemptville Campus is one of the three regional campuses of the University of Guelph and is located in Kemptville, Ontario just 30 minutes south of Ottawa. We offer education and research in the Agri-food industry. Our student body is made up of variety of students in the degree, diploma, certificate, apprenticeship and continuing education programs. We have approximately 400 students attending our campus as either full-time or part-time students.

Kemptville Campus History:

Kemptville Campus was established in 1917 and is one of Ontario's oldest agricultural colleges. Built originally to support and strengthen farming practices in Eastern Ontario, Kemptville is committed to specialized quality education and service with many years of experience, and a tradition of working with communities to meet the needs of the Agri-food industry.

In 1997, Kemptville along with Ridgetown and Alfred Colleges became part of the University of Guelph. The new designation of Campus, which was conferred in May 2006, recognizes the full integration with the University. Guelph is renowned in Canada and around the world as a research-intensive and learner-centered institution, and for its commitment to open learning, internationalism and collaboration with agricultural producers and their organizations.

Town of Kemptville:

Our campus is on the outskirts of the town of Kemptville. Although Kemptville contains many of the amenities of a larger town, it has still preserved its small town atmosphere. Kemptville contains several grocery, drug and clothing stores as well as more than 20 restaurant options including fast food, bar & grill and gourmet. The new municipal complex has two ice surfaces as well as halls and a theatre that are used for entertainment and community events.
